My name is Star Isford. I am 28 and have studied art since I was a young child. Over the past five years I have fallen in love with making abstracts. After several things took place in my life, I realized that I needed to express my feeling in different ways that I have before. Realistic pictures could not show the emotions that I was having and wished to let out. I have loved using almost every medium in art, including computer graphics. I especially love working with oil pastels and oil sticks. I do have a few pieces that I have started which are not shown on this site, using oils on larger canvases. These pictures are in tribute to my sister, which passed on 05/21/02. They will not be displayed for quite some time. I have many ideas as to what my next works will be, but when I am using oils, it is a time process. I use more of a layer technique which take several drying periods to achieve. My new pieces will look quite different from my older pattern. I have changed soo much over the past year and my art along with it. Once I have the new pieces complete I will add them onto the site for viewing. I do hope you enjoy! |
